Clean on the shift the building actually runs
A single nightly slot assumes the building empties at 6 p.m., and many do not. We split the work across four shifts instead. A day porter covers washrooms, lobbies and spills during business hours. Evening, overnight and weekend crews take floors and detail work once the rooms are free.
Floors and departments can start at different times. If a tenant on floor 12 works until 11 p.m. while the rest of the building empties at 6, that floor gets its own slot on the roster. Shift cleaning is the cadence inside a recurring office cleaning program, and it suits multi-tenant towers covered by commercial building cleaning. Winter
Day porter through the wet and cold months
From October to March, boots carry water and grit into entrances and lobbies, and road salt in colder regions. One night visit cannot keep up with that. A day porter wipes up puddles at the door before they become a slip risk, keeps the lobby floor clear between night visits and stays on top of washrooms as traffic rises.
