Dust above ladder height
High dusting is lift-based cleaning of everything overhead that a floor crew never reaches: racking beams, ceiling trusses, ductwork and light fixtures. Warehouses, plants and large retail bays book it when a safety walk, an insurer note or a fire inspection flags dust on the steel.
Cardboard fines and forklift dust settle on beams long before anyone looks up, and nightly scrubbing never gets there. We work from boom and scissor lifts, with fall protection on the crew, and follow your site's height-safety rules. We bring the lift, or inspect yours first if it is certified for the height.
Dust that sits on steel does not stay there. Air movement from dock doors and HVAC can drop it onto stock and equipment below, and heavy build-up is what an inspector flags. Yes. We bring a boom or scissor lift sized to the bay. If your building already has a lift that is certified for the height, we inspect it first and use it when it passes. The walkthrough confirms which machine the job needs.
Typical warehouse truss work sits in the 20 to 40 foot range. Taller bays are quoted from a walkthrough, so the lift matches both the steel and the floor it has to travel on. Give us the highest beam height when you request the quote.
Lift crews work with fall protection and follow your site's height-safety rules. We do not stand on pallet racking to dust, and no lift job starts until the aisle under the lift is released. Our crews are background-checked, and Everest is licensed and insured.
Only the aisle under the lift has to be released. Adjacent live aisles and docks can stay open if they are coned off and forklifts keep out of the lift's swing radius. We confirm the layout at the walkthrough.
