High-Level Dusting
Dust on the top of racking, on trusses, on ductwork, and on light fixtures sits above a ladder’s reach. We dust that steel from a boom or scissor lift, with fall protection on the crew. This is the work a nightly floor program never sees.
Dust above ladder height
Most warehouse and plant floors get a scrubber. The high steel does not. Cardboard fines and forklift dust collect on racking beams, ceiling trusses, HVAC ductwork, and light fixtures until a safety walk or a fire inspection flags it.
Our crews work from boom and scissor lifts. They carry fall-protection harnesses and follow the site’s height-safety rules, including keeping the aisle under the lift clear. We can bring a lift or use yours if it is already on the floor and certified for the height.
What the job covers
- Lift dusting: Racking, trusses, ductwork, and light fixtures above ladder height.

High-level dusting questions
Yes. We can bring a boom or scissor lift. If the building already has a certified lift we can use, we will, after we inspect it for the height.
Typical warehouse truss work sits in the 20 to 40 foot range. Taller bays are quoted from a walkthrough so we match the lift to the steel.
Lift operators work in harnesses and follow the site's fall-protection rules. We do not stand on pallet racking to dust, and we will not start a lift job without the aisle under the machine released.
We need the aisle under the lift released. Adjacent live aisles can stay open if you cone them off and keep forklifts out of the swing radius.
